Nice to meet you! I'm Carolyn and I founded Cultivate Counseling, LLC because I am passionate about helping individuals cultivate a life of purpose and joy. I believe that every person has unique experiences and a unique story. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment to help individuals share their story and discover their true potential.

Through a combination of evidence-based practice and a strengths-based and client- centered approach, I offer individual counseling services in a variety of areas, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, trauma, substance abuse/ misuse and more. My goal is to provide personalized and compassionate care that helps individuals find the right path to healing and growth. Let's face it, the concept of therapy, change and taking back control of our life can be terrifying, but I'm here to show you that you don't have to do it alone and we can even find joy and laughter in the process. 

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

• Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of South Florida 

• Graduate Certificate in Adolescent Behavioral Health from the University of South Florida

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed in the state of Florida (SW#15042)

• Master's Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP) 

• Qualified Supervisor in the State of Florida for Registered Clinical Social Work Interns

• Certified Accelerated Resolution Therapist

Over the last 10 years, I have had the privilege of working with adolescents and adults living with mental health, substance abuse and issues related to post traumatic stress and complex trauma. I have provided services in crisis stabilization settings, outpatient settings and residential treatment settings. I specialize in mental health, substance abuse, life transitions, trauma, co-occurring disorders and career/ professional development coaching.
